Rehab

Hi everyone, it’s youth Taylor Burket. I will be a sophomore this year and this is my 4th mission trip. Today was our first official day in Hazard and it wasn’t an easy first day. We had two groups who went to 2 different sites. My group of 4 went to a house to roof it, and we will go back there the rest of this week to grow closer and closer to completing the roof. We woke up at 6:15, and were out of the church by 7. My group started working around 7:30, and we started by tearing off all of the shingles. They were all off by 9, and we were completely off the roof by 3:00.

Being up there for a full day in the beating sun along with all the work it took was really tiring, but the view around us was beautiful. God was right there with us in the nature surrounding us on the roof of that house. I’m excited to see what is in store for the rest of the week along with how I will see God next.
